BQT’s designers represent a vast and shady network of artistic talent from across New York City. Sometimes we even let people who reside outside of New York design shirts for us, provided they can answer a few simple questions regarding subway connections and rent control laws.

  • STEFAN LAWRENCE

Stefan Lawrence lives in Brooklyn with his wife and daughter. He has been a professional graphic designer in New York City for ten years.

Since 2006, he has been working as a freelancer, under the name Stefan Rules!!! for such companies as Time Warner, Mother, Lexis Nexis, Drillteam and Iris, to name a few. Through the years, he has created designs for Nike, Nintendo, Smirnoff, Johnson & Johnson, Virgin and Dell, among others.

In addition to corporate and agency work, Stefan loves to design for the creative community. He’s an active member in the legendary sketch comedy group Elephant Larry, and has designed for many of the best comedians in New York.

  • JOSH PONZIO

Living in New Jersey, working in NYC and getting down just about everywhere, Josh is a dedicated graphic designer who utilizes his forward-thinking mentality to solve visual problems…splashed with a bit of funk.   • TED ALEXANDRO

Ted Alexandro has lived in Queens his entire life and currently resides a stone’s throw away from Hell Gate (Ted has a very good arm.) He is also one of the funniest stand up comics in the country.

In addition to taking awesome photos from his front stoop, he has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman as well as two half-hour specials on Comedy Central, appropriately titled, Comedy Central Presents Ted Alexandro.

  • SANDRA BENEDICTO

Sandra Benedicto is an artist-at-large with extensive experience as a Creative Director with some of the world’s largest companies, including Time Warner and Bertelsmann.   • CLARE ULTIMO
Clare Ultimo is a multidisciplinary artist from Brooklyn who is the principal of Ultimo Inc., an award-winning NYC design studio. She has devoted a good deal of her professional time to developing branding for non-profit organizations and is presently the designer for the Joseph Campbell Foundation. She is the author of “Verbs On Asphalt: The History of Nuyorican Poetry Slam”, the first online multimedia story of Slam at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe and the creator of “Poetry Dog Tags” published by Chronicle Books. Clare thinks that everything is a poem, so she’s a big fan of BQTs, where you get to wear “visual poetry” everyday! Her site: clareultimo.com
  • ERIN GALLAGHER
Erin Gallagher is a freelance illustrator and designer. She is a NYC girl who grew up in Queens, went to the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, and now lives in Brooklyn with her husband, fellow artist Tom Valente, and their two kittens: Penny & Desmond.
